You are here: Home \ Call for better shops
Shoppers in Camberwell are clamouring for dramatic improvements to the area’s infrastructure and range of shops.
A recent survey shows that shoppers want cleaner pavements; a better balance of shops with more high-quality stores, such as supermarkets and clothing outlets; clearer pedestrian areas and better pedestrian access; and a reduction in anti-social behaviour.
The study, carried out by the Camberwell Travel Plan Group, had an overwhelming response from 950 locals and traders. It provides a solid evidence base for future sustainable development projects and initiatives.
